Summary

Planned Companies is a leading real estate services company dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our IT department and drive impactful projects that support our business operations. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects within our real estate services company. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate and resolve conflicts, and a strong desire to understand and improve our business processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, while fostering collaboration across various departments.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, facilitating effective decision-making and issue resolution.
• Demonstrate the ability to push back when necessary, maintaining a thick skin and resilience in the face of challenges and friction.
• Foster a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with various departments to understand their needs, processes, and procedures.
• Act as a change maker, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department and across the organization.
• Utilize best practices in project management software and tracking tools to ensure efficient project execution and reporting.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers, providing support and sharing knowledge to enhance the overall project management capability within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is a plus
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to express ideas, challenges, and conflicts clearly and concisely.
• Resilient and able to push back when necessary, maintaining a positive attitude in the face of friction.
• Experience working cross-functionally with various departments, with a strong desire to learn and understand the business.
• Knowledge of best practices in project management software and tracking tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
