Planned Companies –Fleet Administrator – Job Description

 

Schedule: 3x per week, 5 hours per day

Location needed: Parsippany or Freehold NJ

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Summary

A Fleet Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a company's vehicle fleet. This role includes tracking and scheduling maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, managing vehicle registrations and insurance, and optimizing fleet usage and costs. The Fleet Administrator must coordinate with drivers and other departments, maintain accurate records, and use fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance and expenses. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and monitor accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and registrations for each vehicle 
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for all company vehicles
    Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs, servicing, and inspections.
  • Act on all accident management-related inquiries/tasks.
  • Monitor tracking and usage of vehicles to identify areas for improvement 
  • Generate reports on fleet performance, including fuel consumption, mileage, and utilization rates.
  • Provide support to the COO/VP of Operations where required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook
